Day 2
We Slept until 8:30
Breakfast at the hotel
Yogurt/ orange/ muffin
We drive a bit to have coffee with Stan and Ann Pusieski. Dan and Stan worked together at the Eugene Register Guard.
Lunch is in Coos Bay. We check trip advisor for suggestions and drive right to
Fishermans Seafood Market. Itis simple and fresh Fish n chips with iced tea.
After lunch i call "Old Kenneth" as he says when he answers the phone. Margaret is home from the hospital.
BeachFront inn in Brookings is really nicely positioned on the beach. We have a small balcony, but we can't wait to go beach combing. And rock climbing.
After a happy hour for two we
Read/ nap. The a short drive into town for Dinner at Superfly in Brookings.
I order a Wedge Salad with blue cheese, tomato and bacon with a balsamic drizzle
And a Watermelon martini. Dan chooses the Hamburger and a Peach Martini!
Back to the beach for sunset, we settle against a log to watch a trawler come in to moor.
"Waves, like green beach glass, shatter upon the sandy shore."
